M2M Network Infrastructures for Massively Distributed Smart City Applications

Workshop on M2M technologies and their applications

The workshop addresses how Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things IoT technologies will support massively distributed Smart City solutions.

You should join this full-day, free workshop on 30th September in Smart City Copenhagen to get a first-hand insight of the state of the art of IoT technologies applied to Smart City Solutions thanks to the participation of Telco operators (TDC, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone) and of other important stakeholders of IoT (Ericsson, IBM) and Smart Cities (city council representatives).

  • Become updated on the global contenders for a low cost, wide area network for the Internet of Things, presented by Silicon Vally based Rick Merritt from EETimes; one of the worlds leading observers of IoT and M2M market developments. Who is most likely to dominate this vast, future market? Europe, USA, Asia?

  • Get a first-hand insight into the progress of the global oneM2M initative for deployment of M2M communications systems and the Internet of Things from Enico Scarrone from ETSI.

  • The ITU-R World Radio communications Conference 2015 (WRC15) is currently inviting the world’s 193 countries to submit their response to new and changed usage to radio frequencies in the 700 MHz band. This time the M2M is covered and you will hear how the different players are positioning themselves before the upcoming conference in November from Steffen Ring, one of the most respected spectrum experts and a long time ITU delegate.

  • You will also be introduced to existing and new M2M solutions from a number of the large European telecommunication companies: Telecom Italia, TDC, Deutsche Telecom and Vodafone with focus on access layer technologies and capillary networks.

  • Further, new, innovative middleware tools for developing and managing M2M and IoT applications in Smart Cities will be described by leading researchers and commercial companies like IBM and Ericsson.

  • Finally, a number of speakers from European cities will explain how they envision the future of their smart city and their need for widespread connectivity with a massive amount of city "objects", such as humans, vehicles, garbage bins, water meters, street lightning posts, etc. This will serve as an inspiration for all technology and business developers.

So don't miss out on this opportunity to get the full picture in a single day.

Check out the full programme, the speakers and registration details.
