Success via Silicon Valley

What are the opportunities for your business?

"The Silicon Valley way of doing business". We all know that it has to go fast, and that it takes hard work. But what else can we do to achieve success in the unique and hard competitive ecosystem in Silicon Valley? And what are the funding opportunities for Danish startups and SMEs?

Come to the after-work meeting at Copenhagen Sound on May 8, where you will be able to meet the teams behind Soundboks and Be My Eyes, and be introduced to the SCALEit-program.
The brains behind Soundboks are three young entrepreneurs: Jesper Theil Thomsen, Hjalte Emilio Wieth and Christoffer Nyvold. They have developed a loud and long-playing portable speaker and were one of a few selected participants in the world's leading accelerator program in Silicon Valley - Y Combinator. Soundboks has recently opened a showroom in LA and raised a successful kickstarter campaign of 5.5 million Danish kroner.
Be My Eyes have received overwhelming attention with their app that connects the blind or visually impaired people with volunteers sighted helpers all over the world - via live video connection on the smartphone. The company has more than 500,000 users of their platform and the vision has now moved to Silicon Valley, where the possibilities of the app are yet truly to unfold.
Christian Vinther is working for the Innovation Centre Denmark, where he is helping Danish companies and entrepreneurs to grow through the United States and Silicon Valley systems. Christian will give a presentation of the SCALEit program, that is especially created for Danish startups and scaleups.
This after-work meeting is organized by the innovation networks Danish Sound, InfiinIT and BrainsBusiness. The target audience are startups and SMEs from the ICT industry and the creative industry, but everyone is welcome!
